SMSP 2008

So....I haven't updated this in a LONG time...but i've been very busy since May.
I've spent the last 6 weeks in Gatlinburg, TN staffing the Smoky Mountain Summer Project with Campus Crusade for Christ. We've had a great summer and it has been encouraging to see the Lord working in the hearts of the students here. I have 4 guys in my group: Stephen, Lee, Kris, and Logan. I love these guys and have enjoyed getting to know them. I'm proud of them for being obedient to the where the Lord is refining them.
We've also made a lot of videos from the summer that turned out pretty funny. If you would like to view them, please go to www.youtube.com and type: "CLEMSONSHERARD" in the search and all of my videos will show up.
Hope y'all have had a great summer!
God Bless,
Bobby

Long Time, No type...

After multiple threats and furocious criticism for my lack of blogging, I bring you a new blog! **Ba dada daaaaaaaa....brrrdabrrrdabrrrda...klaaaaaaaadaaaaaaaaaa brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrmmmmmmmmbaaaaaaaa** (that was an entire orchestra of horns, woodwinds, and flutes with a celebratory intro to this blog)

Well well well...let's see, I haven't written since JANUARY. Oh man, i've sucked at this. Let me catch you up:

January 31---I turned 24 and went to Chapel Hill to hang out with JENNA...that was fun...even though I had to spend more than 20 minutes in Chapel Hill....yikes.

February---I planned THREE Valentine DayS for Jenna...that was fun. We hung out in Clemson for a weekend and I think February went really really slow due to the 29th day being there this leap year. I did, however, go see Pride and Prejudice the play at Belmont University with the staff girls. I took good mental notes in order to please the females in my life.

March--Spring Break was not so much a break...we went to Panama City for Big Break with CCC. It was good to hear my HOMEBOY, ROGER HERSHEY... he brought the truth with a punch and a swift kick to the spiritual shin. I also got to spend Easter with Jenna and her family in Myrtle Beach...that was a very fun weekend and Jenna and her family are more than wonderful....they're majestically wonderful.

April--I was glad to see my last weekend in TN with nothing to do come and go...that got really old, really quick. Friends are important y'all. Hug the ones you have...or the closest stuffed animal.

I also got to go home to Clemson for the first time since February. I was able to see such people as: My parents, sisters, Bouchillons (all except Amber), Weston and Heather, John Eckley, Melissa Baker, Courtney Adams, Bobbbby Barbour, Goldberg, Cagle, Brooke Murphy, Hobie and Hannah, Barrett, Bren, Natedog, GraceAnna, Drew and Cheryl, some supporters, people at church, anyone I left out---sorry....and last but not least at ALL....BRADLEY WISE!! I haven't seen Brad in 2.5 years since he's been in Niger, Africa. I missed him a lot and I was very happy to catch up as much as we could in 2 days. He's my homeboy forever.

If you want a staff update, just email me...I don't want to post everything on here...more later...

Dry-Erase Boards

Do you have one? I do.
I enjoy at the end of each month, taking my dry-erase marker and filling in the calendar with the next month. It helps me be organized when I have to hammer out details on a day-to-day basis. I encourage everyone to get one...they're handy, stylish, and beyond convenient.
Well, it's been a while since I last "blogged". I'll write a brief summary of the last few weeks:

* Christmas was good. We got to spend some time together at home and I now own every season of The Office. I also now know the anatomy of snowmen and snowwomen!
* Winter Conference was really fun. I got to be a cameraman, hang out with fellow staff, and enjoy my job. I also got to spend some quality time with my favorite Tar Heel in the world: Jenna Pusser. We got a chance to put the phones down for a while and spend some time together in Greensboro in person. Oh, and the University of Maryland did a great job parking the bus in the parking lot.
* Jenna and I got to hang out in West End, NC and at Clemson. We met each other's families and had a great weekend watching Juno, having jitters, going out for her dad's 51st birthday, going to the Clemson/UNC game, and have fun talking while we traveled in the Explorer. She's wonderful.
Now, back to the UNC/Clemson game...I just want the WORLD to know that I was on an A+++ behavoir that night and even though Clemson lost at the last second in overtime, I was a good boyfriend and a good sport. The Holy Spirit is the only reasonable explanation.
* I got back to TN on tuesday and we have been planning the last couple of days for the semester to crank up. School starts Monday and so begins another semester.

Now, for the lyrics of this post....I have chosen "No Diggity" by Blackstreet. It is a classic and doesn't have too many spiritual connections, but we can critique it nonetheless. I tried to look up what exactly "No diggity" means. I failed. The chorus is: "I like the way you work it. (No diggity) I got to bag it up." Here is my translation: "Excuse me, Miss...I enjoy the way you walk. (No doubt about it) I would like to take you out for a lovely meal." BUT...I could be wrong.

OK, until next time...this is Bobby thanking you for reading his newest blog ever.
